Gain More Amazon Product Reviews to Increase Your Sales in 2020 – New ZG Feature to 5x Your Reviews

In this blog post, you will learn new methods to gain more 5-star reviews and how you can remove negative reviews to increase your conversion rate. First, let’s dive into a few white hat tactics you can use to boost your 5-star Amazon product reviews and generate more sales and profits in 2020.

Amazon Vine Program

First off, the Amazon Vine Program. Previously only available to vendors, Amazon recently granted access to third-party sellers as well. Amazon is rolling out the program slowly, which means some of you may already have access to it. For those of you who don’t, you can either wait or message the seller support team to see if they can help.

Amazon’s In-house Email Follow Up System

Amazon has its own in-house system for following up with customers to remind them to leave a product review, and to ensure they are satisfied with their purchase. But using what Amazon gives you is simply too laborious and unscalable.

And sometimes, review request emails are ignored or sent to spam. This is a great reason to follow up with your customers to ensure they actually read your emails. ZonGuru’s Email Automator allows you to follow up with your customers by alerting them when their product ships, giving them a direct line of communication to you, and checking back to make sure they are satisfied.

Note that Amazon has begun to limit the quantity and types of messages you can send via its Buyer-Seller Messaging System. ZonGuru has a brand new tool to help sellers work around this, which we’ll discuss later in this post.

Mitigate Negative Reviews

It’s important to proactively mitigate negative reviews to maintain a healthy Amazon seller account. While this may sound simple enough, you’d be surprised by how many sellers don’t pay enough attention to this.

To access customer feedback for your seller account, navigate to Seller Central. Here, you will see the Performance column in the left panel. Under the “Customer Feedback” column, click on the “ratings” text to view your list of customer feedback as shown in the screenshot.

Scroll through the list of feedback and search for any negative product reviews. When you find one, click on the “Request removal” tab and Amazon will automatically remove the negative review if it’s considered abusive, non-seller account related, or irrelevant. Pretty neat, isn’t it? You can also choose to “Contact customer” or “Post a public reply” to resolve the issue.

Pro Tip: Feedback and reviews that are 90 days old are not eligible for removal so be sure to check your Feedback Manager on a regular basis.

The tactic above is mainly for seller account reviews. To mitigate negative reviews for individual products, you can leverage ZonGuru’s Product Monitor. You’ll receive email alerts whenever your listing receives a new review, or hijack alerts so you can take immediate action.

Leverage The Amazon “Review Request” Button

Amazon recently launched a new feature within Seller Central’s Order Details allowing you to send an automatic follow-up email to your customers within four to 30 days of purchase. Sellers can send this request once to avoid spamming. One of the main reasons the “Request a Review” button was added is to ensure that sellers are following Amazon’s new standards around appropriate ways to communicate with buyers.

We at ZonGuru saw these changes coming. That’s why we developed a brand new tool for you to make it as easy as possible to Bulk Review Request past orders and ensure you gain as many customer reviews as possible. Here’s how you can access this amazing feature.

First, login to your ZonGuru account and navigate to the Review Automator tool under the customer engagement section. Click on it and follow the instructions to get started!

Once you’ve completed the instructions HERE, navigate to your Seller Central Manage Orders page to use this new feature. Notice the new ZonGuru buttons next to your customer orders. You can filter your orders by day and either click on the “Request a Review” button individually or save your time by clicking on the “Auto Request Reviews” button. This sends a review request for all eligible orders.

Keep in mind that you will not be able to click on this button if the order is not ready for a review. This is mainly due to the order not being within the filtered time frame, or if you have already sent a review request. This incredibly powerful tool saves you time from sending requests individually to increase your product reviews.

Final Thoughts

Hopefully, we provided you with enough insight to help raise your 5-star reviews in 2020. The most important thing to keep in mind is: always play by Amazon’s rules to avoid putting your account at risk. Incentivized reviews are banned by Amazon and sellers are not allowed to offer products for free or at a discounted price in exchange for favorable reviews.

Also, you are not allowed to use manipulative language (i.e. Are you open to writing us an awesome review?) when sending messaging customers. Remember: gaining a few extra positive reviews with black hat tactics isn’t worth the risk.
