Taking A Look At Into Amazon’s New Enhanced Brand Content Modular Templates
In August, Amazon launched Enhanced Brand Content (EBC) for sellers to enhance their product listing with images, text placements, and merchandising modules, with the goal to increase traffic and conversion rates. Sellers get to select from 5 different templates to enhance their product descriptions.
Last week, Amazon rolled out new “Modular Templates” in Enhanced Brand Content which looks very similar to A+ content with added benefits for sellers. One significant benefit of these modular templates is the drag and drop feature. The feature is intuitive and provides virtually endless customization based on one’s own creativity.
You can create EBC content using one of the five templates (the names of which are inspired by flowers), or by selecting the custom template to create the style you desire as shown in the image below.
Keep in mind that the first two modules on every template are locked and must be populated with a Brand Logo and Product Description as shown in Image B below.
The remaining five module slots can be configured in any order you choose as shown in Image C below.
To insert a new module in either a pre-built or custom template, click the ‘+’ on the module and select from the pop-up. A grayed out ‘+’ means that the maximum number of modules has been reached (Amazon currently allows a maximum of 7 modules). Delete a module to allow another new module to be added. Clicking on the ‘X’ will delete the module including all images and text within it. You can also use the arrows to move modules up or down in the template. And it is worth noting that the number in the circle shows the position of the module. Try to utilize as much space as possible!

- Upload high quality images that are clear of text and conform to the requirements in the table above.
- Ensure your content does not include any specific pricing or promotion details, such as “Money-back Guarantee” else you suffer the consequences of getting rejected.
- Optimize your content with relevant keywords that are free of spelling or grammar errors.

Wouldn’t you like to wake up to your favorite music playing in the background? Amazon introduced a new feature for its Alexa powered devices: musical features that will turn your Echo into high tech clock radios.
The new musical alarm feature supports Amazon’s own Music option, Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio. You can set daily alarms for a specific song, playlist, or radio station through the power of voice commands. You can ask Alexa to wake you up with songs like “Chop Suey! By System Of A Down” or something more mellow 🙂
The next generation of Amazon Echo and the Echo Plus are both equipped with a built-in smart home hub. Alexa also has more than 25,000 voice-activated skills, and it is increasing all the time. A lot of these skills come from Amazon itself, but Amazon has also opened up the digital brain in 2015 encouraging third-party developers to build their own skills.
Amazon’s New ‘Pet Profile’ Feature Aims to Boost Seller’s Pet Sales
Amazon has found a new way to entice pet owners like yourself to purchase products on its site. Amazon recently launched its pet profiles feature, which allows pet owners to add their pets to their profile. The feature also offers a variety of benefits for first time users such as a one-time 20% off their next pet food order.
Pet owners can create a pet profile for their dogs, cats, and small animals like: fish, birds, horses, and reptiles. The feature will ask for the pet’s name followed by breed or species information, and also age for cats and dogs. Pet owners are also given the option to upload a photo of their pet. Once all necessary data is completed, pet owners will be directed to their pet’s profile page where they can view deals and other “pet profile exclusive coupons.”
